I agree with both of your comments. On the face of it the article seems too trivial to bother with but I think it's indicative of the general downward trend (in fact headlong, full G force plunge) of the fraudian/Observer.

Campbell does seem to be friends with every sociopath on the planet and pops up in all kinds of dodgy places. Her horrendous record got one paragraph of vague allusion and dismissal:

Years ago, she dominated headlines for very different reasons. In 2000, she pleaded guilty to assault after throwing a phone at her personal assistant. Seven years later, she pleaded guilty to assaulting a former housekeeper. She arrived for community service at a New York City sanitation garage in a glittering $300,000 Dolce & Gabbana gown, a move that was panned by the press as petty – the very reason her legion of younger fans love it. Other controversial examples from her past live on in gifs. Naomi taking the witness stand in the “blood diamonds” trial of former Liberian president Charles Taylor is immortalised in a meme often used to display eye-rolling disbelief. It is captioned: “She’s reaching, your honour.”

“I’ve seen some of the memes,” she shrugs. “They make me laugh. I only recently figured out how to send a meme. Someone sent me one and I was like, ‘How do you do that?’”

Also, wtf is that answer? It makes me laugh, people reminding me of when I assaulted people who make a ten thousandth of my salary a year. I'm such a ditz, can't even post them online. Haha, it's all so much fun. Yaas kween! You beat those domestic servants in the name of diversity.

I forgot to include the dumped link just in case you want to witness it in its full horror:

I think it might be pushing a forthcoming book (a snip at £100) but it's a pretty prominent and large article in any case. This is the kind of thing that springs to mind when the begging adds pop up asking people to defend the brave journalism of the fraudian.

They really are a disgusting group now.
