Don't forget that it was Labour under Corbyn's leadership that let the Snooper's Charter go through. Archived Message

The Snooper's Charter = the Investigatory Powers Act 2016. Labour didn't vote for it, the Party abstained. It was felt that if Labour had opposed the Bill, it wouldn't have gone through. The Bill got through because Labour didn't oppose it. The law gives a very wide range of agencies to power to 'snoop,' that is, without a warrant. There are about 40 agencies that can keep records of individual's internet use. The law allows the police and intelligence agencies to hack into individual's computers. So that's how it has become known as the 'snooper's charter.' The powers-to-be have always been able to do all this, but now it's legal, and can be done without a warrant. The LibDems voted against it!
