Would agree if you're just looking at the front page unfiltered. Mostly memes and cat videos, though it used to be that non-msm-friendly stories would get voted up there. Looking at individual subreddits on particular topics filters out the dross and supposedly you can tailor what comes up according to your preferences (though I never got an account to do that). Now these accounts are getting mass deleted that's going to get harder and harder to do, until the whole thing is just corporate-friendly click bait.
