Got it: that satirical BBC R2 show was "Parsons & Naylor". Naylor worked with Bremner on Headcases Archived Message

I still recall tuning into Parsons & Naylor on Radio 2 of a Saturday afternoon - it was clear that they shared Bremner, Bird & Fortune's views on the Iraq War/WMD etc. Headcases: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Headcases My research suggests that Henry Naylor was more fearlessly political than his Radio 2 co-host Andy Parsons. Sadly neither of them morphed into Britain's equivalents of Jimmy Dore or Lee Camp. What Brits ever have? Peter Fluck on "Headcases": "Splitting Image's Peter Fluck was critical of the series. His assessment was decidedly lukewarm: the CGI puppets "look pretty dead", it might not be rude enough, and, if he were younger, he would bypass television and broadcast on YouTube instead. However, he was encouraged by the likes of Rory Bremner among the impersonators."
