/ vids shared here - that we inhabit a fascistic, hypnotically misleading (via a layer of uniform political-media-corporate artificial reality), exploitative social machine designed to serve those at the top - seems both very thin on the ground, and also confined to specific fairly narrow (by location and period - ie 'not us') examples of this kind of mass mind (and body) fck. 'Don't Look Up' - which I've seen so many clips of but not watched properly - appears to catch this theme well, but in an 'innocent' way (ie it's all down to unintened consequences) and specific to the level of mass denial / ignorance re climate, using the analogy of an impending meteor strike. I presume there's a network of (some self-published) 'extreme conspiracy theory' / fantasy type novels a la 'Illuminati' but more modern that are popular in some circles, and serve a purpose, both good and bad. I found the movie 'Night of the Living Dead' really helpful as a teen in that regard, personally. But there is a shortage of high quality novels / films that expose conformity to the fake 'holodeck' consensus that numbs and weakens us, on all matters, particularly war, inequality and climate / energy. An accurate up to date Pilger in a thriller format is hard to find.
