Dismal is right... I think a Labour govt, esp one with Starmer's psychotic anti-left tendencies, will be worse than a continued Tory govt. Like neo-labour in '97 they will be out to prove to the establishment interests that they're on their side, and working people will get shafted even more, especially if they resist and have to be made an example of. Also the effect of people falling asleep once 'the left'TM is in power, and the insistence on not criticising them for fear of letting the tories back in, will mean they can push through even more damaging policies with no opposition. The only silver lining I can see is that Starmer and the PLP may have overplayed their hand to the point that nobody is willing to support them (apart from msm nodding dogs like Elton of course), leading to a strengthening of opposition movements against both neoliberal, corporatist parties, or 'cheeks of the same arse' in Galloway's colourful description. Bleak times ahead, but more possibilities opening up outside of the Westminster clown party, maybe?
