    Sometimes one wonders if there was ever a serious real plan...even an interim one to move away from fossil fuels to wind, water, waves, solar.

    Serious plan?, you must be joking. From my brief 6 months stint in the 'transition industry', the bottom line is that there is no money in it. Crumbs. In other words the government investment is miniscule. Consequently the design that comes out is embarrassingly shoddy. From my worm's eye view massive investment is needed and it will take a decade (or two). Akin to war economy. It ain't viable in our current financialised system that is looking for a quick buck or rentier dosh.

    Tim Watson is good at exposing this 'transition' fraud ..
