Vladimir Putin is “increasingly erratic” and “volatile” in his behaviour which is creating instability in the Ukraine region and around the world, says a Cabinet minister. Science and Technology Secretary Peter Kyle said Sir Keir Starmer and Joe Biden would be discussing the Russian president’s conduct at a meeting in Washington on Friday. Unbelievable: Calculator Shows The Value Of Your Car Instantly (Take a Look) Unbelievable: Calculator Shows The Value Of Your Car Instantly (Take a Look) Search Ads Recommended by The Prime Minister and US president are weighing up whether to allow Ukraine to fire missiles from the West deep into Russia, including British Storm Shadows. Kyiv wants this permission to stop the wave of “glide bombs” being launched at cities and towns in Ukraine by aircraft flying from air bases far away from the frontline. But Mr Kyle stressed that the talks in Washington were expected to be wider that this issue. “They want to discuss Ukraine in the round,” he told Sky News. “They want to understand where the conflict has got to. “They want to try to understand the behaviour of president Putin. “He is increasingly erratic. “His volatility is causing huge instability not just in Ukraine and the immediate region but around the world as well. “I know that the two leaders will want to get together and talk about that.” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been pleading with allies for months to let Ukraine fire Western missiles including long-range US ATACMS and British Storm Shadows deep into Russia to limit Moscow’s ability to launch attacks. The New York Times reported, citing European officials, that the United States looks set to approve the use by Ukraine of long range missiles against targets in Russia on the condition that the weapons were not those provided by America. Putin has stated that the West would be directly fighting with Russia if it allowed Ukraine to strike Russian territory with Western-made long-range missiles, a move he said would alter the nature and scope of the conflict. The Russian president said on Thursday that allowing long-range strikes “would mean that NATO countries, the United States, and European countries are at war with Russia ... Responding to the Russian president’s remarks, the Prime Minister told reporters: “Russia started this conflict. Russia illegally invaded Ukraine. “Russia could end this conflict straight away. “Ukraine has the right to self defence and we’ve obviously been absolutely fully supportive of Ukraine’s right to self-defence - we’re providing training capability, as you know. “But we don’t seek any conflict with Russia - that’s not our intention in the slightest. “But they started this conflict and Ukraine’s got a right to self-defence.” Questioned on whether he believed it was a binary issue that the use of western missiles in Russian territory would constitute a Nato war with Russia, Sir Keir added: “First, to reiterate, it was Russia who started this in the first place. “They caused the conflict, they’re the ones who are acting unlawfully. And Ukraine obviously has the right to self-defence. “That is why we have been providing training and capability. And, you know, there are obviously further discussions to be had about the nature of that capability. “What I want to do tomorrow is make sure that those discussions, tactical discussions, are set in the proper strategic context of the situation in Ukraine.” Concern about escalation has been one of the reasons why permission has not yet been given to Kyiv to fire missiles from the West far into Russia. But earlier this week US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, after talks with British Foreign Secretary David Lammy in London, accused Iran of supplying Putin’s regime with ballistic missiles. America’s top diplomat stressed that this would enable Russian military chiefs to use their longer range missiles to strike targets further into Ukraine, while using the Iranian ones for shorter distance attacks. Mr Blinken and Mr Lammy also visited Kyiv to hear directly from Mr Zelensky and other top officials about their war strategy and how the missiles would be used. Asked about Putin’s threat of retaliation, Mr Kyle said: “President Putin has continually made threats.” His remarks came just hours after Russian authorities accused six British diplomats in Moscow of spying and revoked their accreditation. The move may be linked to the growing tensions in the Ukraine conflict. The Science Secretary also stressed: “The bottom line has never changed in this. “If this war could end quickly, it could do so because of president Putin. “He could decide to end this war straightaway.” In Kyiv, Mr Lammy and Mr Blinken announced further financial support for Ukraine, including a £600 million package from the UK and 717 million dollars (£550 million) from the US to meet immediate humanitarian, energy and stabilisation needs. The UK package includes a reaffirmation of Rishi Sunak’s pledge of £242 million, as well as 484 million dollars (£371 million) worth of loan guarantees for World Bank lending before the end of the year, while the US package includes 325 million dollars (£250 million) to support Ukraine’s energy needs. ... which is a pretty significant achievement for a guy who, two and a half years ago, our clickbait media was describing as either ill and dying, or actually dead and appearing on video by way of deeepfake technology...
Is the webdrool still there, or has it been scrubbed?

Re: Vladimir Putin's behaviour 'increasingly erratic' and 'volatile'...says Cabinet minister
So, we have been kinda at war with Russia for a while now, supporting that little corrupt, millionaire grifter, Zelensky. However, now it looks like we are REALLY going to be at war with Russia, thanks to the lying warmongers in the US and UK. Yeah! Trebles all round!
Re: Vladimir Putin's behaviour 'increasingly erratic' and 'volatile,' says Cabinet minister
This article by The Standard falls in within the duty set to msm to toe the party line, and in the process telling us the opposite to the truth, as usual.
Apparently, today, Putin made a speech saying if the long range missile attacks are to be carried out deep into Russia, this just may be considered as an act of war by either Britain or/and the US against Russia for obvious reasons (it needs US/UK technicians to synch in the satellite data). The UK, of course, being more belligerent and definitely more Russophobic thus being the prime driver. As Mercouris analysed it today this RF thinking has been most likely transmitted to UK/US embassies two odd weeks ago.
Apparently, and in accordance with Mercouris, countries in the state of war do not need to have the kinetic component. However, it just may mean that embassies properties in the respective countries may be seized, diplomats expelled and all dialogue terminated between the warring parties. Russia has been unhappy with the British Embassy occupying such prime property just opposite Kremlin since Bolshevik revolution or thereabouts : ). Let's see who blinks first.
Joe Biden dismisses Russian threats during meeting with Keir Starmer
US and UK leaders’ talks dominated by row with Russia over use of Storm Shadow missiles
Joe Biden has dismissed the sabre-rattling threats made by Vladimir Putin as the US president met the UK prime minister, Keir Starmer, at the White House.
Biden said on Friday afternoon he did not accept that Ukraine using western-made Storm Shadow missiles to bomb targets in Russia would amount to Nato going to war with Moscow.
At a foreign policy summit, Biden said: “I do not think much about Vladimir Putin.”
Biden and Starmer’s top foreign policy teams were meeting at the Blue Room in the White House. At the start of the meeting, James Matthews from Sky News jumped the gun by asking Biden: “What do you say to Vladimir Putin’s threat of war?”
Biden scolded him. “You be quiet, I’m going to speak, OK?” the president said, before beginning his prepared remarks.
Also present at the Blue Room meeting were Antony Blinken, the US secretary of state, and David Lammy, the UK foreign secretary. Other British participants included Tim Barrow, the national security adviser, and Starmer’s chief of staff, Sue Gray.
Starmer flew over from London on Thursday for the working meeting amid escalating tensions with the Kremlin after the UK had indicated that the US had agreed to allow Ukraine to use Storm Shadow missiles to bomb Russia.
After the summit, Starmer said the meeting was not about a particular decision on Storm Shadow. “Well, we’ve had a long and productive discussion on a number of problems, including Ukraine, as you’d expect, the Middle East, and the Indo-Pacific, talking strategically about tactical decisions,” he said.
However, Biden indicated the topic came under discussion between the leaders and their teams. In response to a shouted question asking how soon he was prepared to let Ukraine fire missiles deeper into Russia, Biden said: “We’re going to discuss that now.”
Neither of the presidential candidates, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, were in the capital and available to meet Starmer because both were campaigning.
Starmer said he had never spoken to Harris. The prime minister did speak to Trump briefly after the former president survived an assassination attempt in the summer.
The British Storm Shadow missiles, made by a European company, can strike targets at least 190 miles away and Ukraine wants to use them to bomb airbases, missile sites and other military targets in the Russian heartlands.

Re: Vladimir Putin's behaviour 'increasingly erratic' and 'volatile,' says Cabinet minister
So here we're being told of an increasingly erratic and volatile leader of a country with the largest nuclear arsenal on the planet and an effective battle hardened army being threatened by the UK with the thought, presumably, that he'll actually act rationally and not bother about the red line he's so clearly stated.
It shouldn't need pointing out that the only other red line he's ever stated was the one about Ukraine not joining NATO., and look what's happened there.
And here's the statement from Starmer with words to the effect "well, he started it so he can stop it", the infantile excuses you might expect to hear following a minor fracas in a primary school playground.
So the thought from our side is that we don't have to listen to what Mr Putin says, even as this whole war is nothing but the effect of not listening to what Putin says. "Sabre rattling" we're told. I'm presently reading "Never" by Ken Follet about the world's trajectory to a nuclear war, but even he'd not have the literary neck to write this insanity on our side into any of his novels.
