“ Nearly 50 days have smashed existing highs for the time of year by the largest margin in the satellite era.’”
- I don’t think they should cite satellite data in one breath then write articles about how much they LOATHE space technology in the next. Its just two-faced garbage they hope nobody will notice. But I did.

At least I noticed your post : ). But seriously, if you are making a claim:
.. then write articles about how much they LOATHE space technology in the next
I think it would be good to back it up .. have they made this claim? Can you back it up? Otherwise it is just an opinion .. based on 'something'. Since I picked this up, my response to your post was : Whaaat?
Can we agree that we could possibly have pre and post satellite data era?
With careful management of resources, I, for one, can imagine we could still have access to space e.g. imagine no military satellites hehe. An interesting statistic:
I am personally grappling with an impossible task of trying to think of the way that we can avoid the 2 degree threshold kinda soon, which is on the cards, it seems. It is an impossible task with (only) reliance on renewable energy resources (especially in (say) German war-mongering situation of getting their military up to scratch using windmills and dirty lignite, just sayin'). I accept we are not going to achieve that goal of avoiding that threshold. Go back to the caves? Working on NetZero projects here in the UK is quite disheartening.

Btw, I didn't read the ML article when I responded. I felt guilty and decided to skim-read it. I missed that sentence re satellites you found : /, but, then, neither was there any evidence of loathing of space tech. So, my previous post remains as is.
