But he revealed some interesting facts in that conversation that I haven't heard elsewhere. For example, the 'secret' Haifa pipeline and the way the oil has been transported from the Azeri/Turkish node of oil distribution from Ceyhan, Turkey to Israel. It seems that one needs to collect information on the exact workings of the 'rape' of Iraq before making up one's mind. Why? Because the oil business is murky and needs detailed examination of facts. And of course it is utterly corrupt, which goes without saying.

Interestingly, I hear that septics are now leaving Iraq in good shape as far as their oil business goes and will be able to be economically independent.

Likely now, there may be some joint enterprises between Iran and Iraq, now that the US is leaving. Iraq will now need to upgrade their infrastructure destroyed by that illegal war. Nevermind millions of civilians killed and displaced.

I still remember seeing a large Iraqi delegation coming to London GLC quarters where I worked in 1974. Half were women engineers. Much better gender distribution than we had and still have here in the UK. Just a ditty ..

Yes, I have a clue for you Tomski: He, the person essentially put in charge of all of the oil in occupied Iraq described spending a long time studying every pipeline in the region so that he knew them all more or less by heart, but he claims he had no idea there was one from Kirkuk to Haifa. Yet its on fucking wikipedia:

I realize wikipedia didn’t essentially exist in 2003, but the internet did exist, and it beggars belief, given the info on that wiki page, that this pipeline was not pretty well known. It was certainly known to the locals.

So he is a total fucking idiot. The Iraq invasion was an unmitigated disaster in which the shit truly floated to the top and are now making money writing books about their incompetence. I partially attribute comparable idiocy (or late-blooming wisdom shall we say) to Wilkerson, who I have little time for, but who this oil guy seems to be a big fan of.

Ta for that Shyaku. Without going back into the video, from memory, I was under impression that the oil man made a claim that the pipeline was 'secret' i.e. he knew about it but others didn't.

From the detailed entries in the wiki it is fairly obvious that this pipeline was well known in the oil business, so perhaps his claim that it was 'secret' is a bit of a misnomer.

I mean this was pioneering work from 1937 or whatever .. and they even applied cathodic protection later on, one of the first in the business.

I'd still like to read his book since I find referring to the video too much hassle. I worked on some major pipelines so it is kinda professional interest.
