Had a tooth out this afternoon

the first one for fifty years. It took two dentists, two nurses and an hour with an astounding variety of tools. At least this time there's paracetamol to dull the pain now the anaesthetic has worn off. I go back in a week and have to swill saline after every meal starting tomorrow. I thought I was going to have it looked at so being shot up with six syringes was a bit of a surprise.

Sounds a right saga...had two out with the NHS the last couple of years, pretty quick and painless and lucky to even get an NHS dentist apparently.
They said both teeth could have been saved but not being a millionaire, I declined.

"I won't dignify the attacker's words by repeating them, they are horrific and vile."

They said that the could take the crown off, have a look and if it could be saved, it would cost £300 minimum, whipping it out (missis) was £80 so I said take it out, not expecting them to do it there and then. It was about tooth hurty when they started.

need two or three out..my body reacted to UV amalgam setting rays over 25 years ago and my fluoride damage is historical, extensive & hideous...bad teeth started to fall out..they've nearly poisoned me to death more than once..so ill with various conditions Nov 2025 on that I have needed blood-pressure monitoring....good news though I've found a herbal they gets me straight... more than well enough to get the rest of the weight off (although I'm under max for my height) I swim two sets of 2,500m/week most weeks..I've had bad-teeth, flu, bad-teeth, heavy cold, bad teeth for the last six months..a mix of dihydrocodiene, booze and other stimulants was a car-crash of an occasion I can happily blame on pain and illness, nevertheless, I've had to clean up the mess..

NHS caused the problems (twice) now "free at point of use" wants to charge me £80 for the privilege of pulling them out!
