He's a chump...a halfwit. Why would anyone give him a job that supposedly involves serious commentary when he's so obviously incapable of any reflective thought whatsoever?

I suppose the answer is that he's a bit of a bargain: a sort of one man Overton window whose job is to encourage the kind of circular stupidity that can only be resolved by indulging in his fantasy world view.

Do our Lord's and masters believe it? Of course not but Harding does...because he's an educated idiot who never grasped the difference between objective and subjective... which makes him a fantastic role model for today, oh, and they pay well.
