Sounds complicated, Warwick.
My approach is to find satisfaction in what I catch in relation to my effort. I may not be able to match the top dogs for maximum bags of gurnard, shoalies etc, but I may catch better specimen fish if I focus on that. Nothing beats sliding a big SRP snap onto the club scales, especially when others have gone north and caught sod all. If you are restricted to local beaches, think fame and glory, not points. I'm sure Ocean Beach would produce more trevs and even snapper if we put more effort in there over the high tides.
