Some people really dislike Kim Hill, I think Morrissey might be one such. No, I don't mind her most of the time. She can be excellent, and I have often praised her for some of her memorable interviews. Especially memorable were her driving into a foaming frenzy, in 1995, of the visiting Jeffrey Archer, her 2004 confrontation of William Shawcross [1] and her memorable takedown of that old war criminal John Howard---a takedown that drove poor old Karl DuFresne into a foaming frenzy. [2] I don't mind her. She can at times display a good insight in her questions, .... Your're being exceptionally generous, John. Her "insight" was not on display as she interviewed the likes of Simon Schama, Jonathan Freedland, Michael Burleigh, Michael Portillo, Anne Applebaum---to name just a small fraction of the vicious propagandists, character assassins and war-mongers she has given a free and unquestioning audience. Possibly the worst of all of them was the unspeakable Alex Gibney. [3] .... and she usually goes to the trouble of doing at least some basic research. That's a statement of faith and confidence, rather than an evidence-based conclusion. John Pilger took her to task for her indolence twenty years ago.
