Sorry mate, it wasn't predictable imv. It really depends where you arrest the timeline and take the snapshot. It was not inevitable from my perspective. Inevitable sounds like fate with an 'what if?' attached to it. IMV...Seriously? Brexit for the Tories was about deregulation and greed. “review, replace or repeal retained EU law holding our country back”. as one put it. ie. get rid any regulations which hold back the wealthy from making even more money. And what were they going to "deregulate"? One thing was agriculture...to supposedly "drive down costs." And how was that going to be achieved? -by getting rid of regulations controlling the chemicals that can be used on farms much of which was EU. I have in the past mentioned Chlorothalonil: which the EU bans whilst the UK retains use of despite it being carcinogenic...add the rest above: 36 chemicals thirteen of which are considered highly hazardous under UN definitions... Four highly toxic to bees, one contaminates water and one istoxic to aquatic organisms. Brexit Britain at its best eh...? enjoy. -Predictable stuff as I said.
