-She should be made to drink some. Glyphosate is an interesting one...sure it kills wimpy weeds easily enough but seems unable to kill the deep-rooted ones which are often the main issue, leaving them to rise without competition. What I had also noticed many years ago was the effects on the plants that had actually survived being sprayed on the farm. (not by me I hasten to add) Somehow it had corrupted the way they actually grew: leaf shape changed...straight stems became convoluted. Persistence of these traits indicated there were quite possibly genetic changes and that sparked alarm bells in me that that this stuff has genotoxic effects. I thus to the farmers annoyance and contempt banned its use anywhere around my home over 20 years ago when people were still telling us just how "modern" and terribly harmless it was. Recent work has vindicated my observations. It is indeed a genotoxin: https://www.iarc.who.int/featured-news/media-centre-iarc-news-glyphosate/ -I reckon the chemical junk industry pushers must have know this all along. I'm no biologist but its effects on surviving plants were so obvious that anyone with even a little knowledge of growing things and a penchant for observation could see with their own eyes that there was a serious problem.
