Yes yes and yes. Moving on from Monson opened my wallet briefly, but the stains are so deeply embedded now my measly contributions are probably wasted on something stupid. I'll buy my season ticket because its cheap entertainment and fun to evaluate the mess. But no more donations until some positive long-term solutions materialize, if they ever do.

There are some good coaches and programs, the only one I have any hope for regularly is MVB and I'll throw them some funds every now and then. Knipe has vision, great methods, is dedicated, and undeniably successful. Thankfully he is so strongly embedded that they tend to leave him be.

If we get lucky and a President with vision is hired, they should ditch the whole AD operation and start fresh. Start by consulting regularly with Knipe on how it should be done, if he is willing he should head up the AD search. Or wonder of wonders, become the next AD and promote one of his assistants to head coach MVB.

I'm not even considering how to survive in this new big money era, I don't think its worth the effort. I predict Sac State burns out in 3-5 years trying. Focus on how to thrive in that secondary level of DI athletics.

It is frightening how many issues LBSU athletics has, and at the worst moment possible, the system and leadership in place is about as half-a$$ as it could be.

I think it boils down to this: get a solid new President with a strong vision for athletics, we can survive then thrive at that secondary level. Get another Jane and athletics is doomed and will evaporate down to whatever the floor is.

I h@ve been out if pocket with personal issues that will continue through this year. However when I view this board and what is transpiring at LBSU I do not see anything good. We have an AD who sounds incompetent, a departing President who did nothing and still is doing nothing, she retired in place. We have an organizational structure thay defies anything learned in a classroom. We have more pissed off supporters which does not bode well for the future, which thru thevfsult of prior Presidents is manifesting today. We are getting out played and marginalized by other universities.

And when a highly respected and successful coach points the finger at the AD, I think it is time for complete top down change because we are sliding further down the rabbit hole of incompetence. I am so glad I jumped ship 15 years ago and it all started with Edrington. It has saved countless hours of frustration.
