I've been involved with projects on campus, they are factors more complex due to state regulation and campus/system bureaucracy than if they were privately built.
This one seems like it could be tacked onto a deferred maintenance program. The Pyramid is such a landmark.
Does anyone know if they ever tested the clear spray that were investigating? Is the problem because of rust or some other structural abnormality that is expected to continue to worsen? Can they hang a bunch of blue tarps together as a geometric mural and funnel the water into a new age water recycling system?

I agree that the aging chairbacks on the side of the court do not have safe access due to the wooden steps that step down to the seats. It is a definite trip hazard.
Is there a plan for the Myd? I feel like there are a few possible answers:
1. There is no plan as the Myd repair is too expensive. This is the pray for no rain and hold games in the Goldmine option, which may be the most inferior rundown gym in Div 1 basketball.
2. There is a plan, but it is not being publicised. Do the people at LBSFCU know of the plan, or are they O.K. with naming rights to a damaged building?
Long Beach State, as an entity, should be very embarrassed by not coming up with a good plan for a building that has had a leaking roof for many years. The status quo is unacceptable. How about moving to an off-campus site when it's raining in the Myd and maybe raining in the Goldmine too.

The boosters need a plan from the administration
What is the plan if MVB vs UCLA has 4000 seats sold and Pyramid Leaks
Even on no rain days, they open the doors and freeze everyone out.
This weekend 3 fans fell going up the uneven stairs with no railings in front of us.
Most boosters and attendees are not students and younger fans
It is pretty obvious to me the dwindling season ticket holders are getting older.
As season ticket holders, only those on the floor seats get sears saved.
The chair backs should be saved for season ticket holders as well
Maybe print tickets with Pyrmid seats and Gold Mine seats?
This is becoming a joke.
How do you recruit and attract 4 and 5 star athletes to play in venues that are leaking, freezing cold, or older than high school gyms in the area.
I know the boosters in my area feel the same way
Most stay home for gold mine games
Pretty soon everyone will stay home for all games
We deserve a plan other than no money
