The MAC officially announces the addition of Sacramento State as a football-only affiliate for a five-year term, starting July 1. Yahoo Sports’ Ross Dellenger offers additional details, noting as part of the deal, “the school will take no conference distribution, cover air travel costs of visiting MAC teams and pay $6M of the $18M entry fee in Year 1.” Sacramento State President Luke Wood: “This is a historic moment for Sacramento State — a bold leap into the future.
