Saying CDM was here 16 years too long is absurd, this program was the best in the BW his first 7-8 years, maybe 8 years too long. My warning was not that, CDM did not seem to have lost the fire (he had), but that the people who would make the hire if he left were likely to make a hire that would be a disaster. So far, that looks true. Would I say that I would take two more years of CDM over what we have gotten out of Acker, of course.

Let’s face it LB jas not been very good at hiring men’s BB coaches last 25+ years. Although he was not the hire I wanted Acker is fighting the college NIL rules. Can’t be easy. Previous Message

You asked for this, and you got your wish. Some of us tried to warn you that the grass isn’t always greener. That Dan was the right man for the job. That Bobby didn’t have a clue.
To think we won a regular season championship in 2022 and the conference tournament in 2024. We would have made the NCAA Tournament twice in three years if we had gotten one more stop or scored one more bucket in 2022. That was the standard of this program and it still wasn’t enough to satisfy you.
Remember when it was a disappointment to win 10 or 11 games in conference play? Now, we can’t even manage that many Big West wins over the course of two seasons. I can barely even recognize my club anymore.
Meanwhile, Dan’s team is 9-6 in the Big Sky and in position to make a run at spot in the NCAA Tournament. I would say I wish he could return, but we don’t deserve him.
