Dan was a much better recruiter. He always had players leave but he seemed to bring in the right guys. I can not say that for Acker. Dan's losses always included body bag games against great teams. Without body bag games his record would have been much better. He choose money over wins since body bag games made him money.
In Eastern Washington he has a much better budget since they play football. Best thing for him is he is closer to family. I would tend to believe he is happier there than he would be here.
But we have done much better if Dan was here.

Thank you NinerDave, my sentiments exactly. I 150% stand behind my wish for Monson to not be renewed. The hiring of Acker was a failure of Smitheran and he's gonna have to eat the results, not any of the fans who wanted Monson gone. Previous Message
I am happy he is gone. He was 275-273 at Long Beach. That’s not acceptable especially in a moderately poor conference. The fact that a knucklehead was hired in his place is a separate matter. Previous Message

You asked for this, and you got your wish. Some of us tried to warn you that the grass isn’t always greener. That Dan was the right man for the job. That Bobby didn’t have a clue.
To think we won a regular season championship in 2022 and the conference tournament in 2024. We would have made the NCAA Tournament twice in three years if we had gotten one more stop or scored one more bucket in 2022. That was the standard of this program and it still wasn’t enough to satisfy you.
Remember when it was a disappointment to win 10 or 11 games in conference play? Now, we can’t even manage that many Big West wins over the course of two seasons. I can barely even recognize my club anymore.
Meanwhile, Dan’s team is 9-6 in the Big Sky and in position to make a run at spot in the NCAA Tournament. I would say I wish he could return, but we don’t deserve him.
