I do wish we will play his team in the future. But we need a better team first.

IMO Dan is doing at Eastern Washington what he did two years ago at Long Beach. His team is getting hot at the right time towards tourney time but before that EW was terrible until a couple of weeks ago. Dan was collecting a paycheck and checked out at Long Beach a few years ago. Previous Message
I agree Dan never seemed like a basketball guy. He was an opportunist, who realized with his father's connections he could maybe make a nice career for himself. He achieved that for sure.
I'm not wanting Dan to come back through the doors, I think he had run his course and seemed exhausted at LB the final 5 years really. Previous Message
Good grief, Dan is gone. Dan was a golf partner and friend. He was a good hire that lost his fire here in LB. Sparky captured this perfectly above. Losing Vic Couch was hugely hurtful. Actually, if Braswell would have stuck around that might have helped Dan survive. I don't think, in his heart, Dan is a basketball guy. He did know how to run a program. EWU is a good fit for Dan at this time in his life.
Acker, on the other hand, neither knows how to run a program or coach the game. Many of his in-game decisions are horrific. The players don't like him. Simply, he has been a terrible hire. No one to blame but the AD. And, no, pining for coach Dan is ridiculous. Sorry he left on bad terms. That's an AD thing too.
