I think the best way forward is to keep the Forty-Niners name as a tribute to the year of our founding, and eliminate/retire the Gold Rush elements that led to the current conflict.

We can keep the Forty Niners name, and lean into The Beach, Go Beach. I don't actually care one way or another about ElBee (or however it's spelled) because it's just LB and nothing more.

What I cannot stand is hearing announcers on ESPN referring to us as "The Beach Beach". It's embarrassing and stupid.
