The success will depend on the ability to survive until NCAA reform happens, and having a dedicated group of donors who are excited to lift the program. While I have heard that effort has gained steam, compared to other D1 brethren, who spend the universities money, and have deeper pockets, we can't do that.

Before I was on board with a higher excellence fee that included athletics, but that was to raise the overall program, not put cash in athletes pockets.

That being said, I agree the on court product has not been great, and the failing of Monson with late game failures and poor offensive production, seem to also be Acker's failings.

Maybe athletes see that transferring is not in your overall best interest. I doubt playing at Niagara or NDSU is the bump they were looking for.
