Having got Cleo at 14yrs old, I couldn't get her on a pet insurance. I am finding the one drop of Metacam helps her a lot and, strange though it seems, she actually likes it and will lick it off the "spout".

She has her own bedroom with a double bed, litter box, water and food, however in this cold winter, she spends most of her time in a carboard box with a fluffy bed inside and an old T shirt covering the outside LOL
