I thought we'd lost this page forever.
Pixie is fine, a few obedience shows coming up.
Cleo is also fine, but she is now completely blind. However she finds her way about the house, ventures into the garden on a fine day (its winter here so very wet and cold) and still climbs up onto the bed to sleep with me. I cant believe that three years ago she came here, went into the vet, after 3 days spent on a drip I then "brought her home and see how she goes". I force fed her for a couple of months and well!... here she is 17 yrs old and doing fine. We had a couple of bad spells where she seemed to be blocked. However the problem seemed that because of her deformities and her arthritis she couldn't crouch down enough to empty her bladder, she gets one drop a day of Metacam and there have been no more episodes.
I love that picture of her. I'm not sure you've ever posted one before that shows her colors so clearly.
I don't know if you saw my post below. We found arthitis in Sara's elbows, and have started her on once-monthly injections of Solensia (a new treatment for feline osteoarthritis based on monoclonal antibodies). Her limp has almost completely gone away, and she's moving much more fluidly. It's really helping her.
Of course, it's not cheap. We've hit her deductible for her insurance this year, so for the rest of the year, at least, part of it gets reimbursed. But I definitely had to think about the cost.
And I don't even know if it's available outside of the United States. But I just thought I'd mention it to you. Sara and Cleo are the same age, and it's just so hard to watch them slow down.
Give her scritches from me!

long time. Hope you are well.
Having got Cleo at 14yrs old, I couldn't get her on a pet insurance. I am finding the one drop of Metacam helps her a lot and, strange though it seems, she actually likes it and will lick it off the "spout".
She has her own bedroom with a double bed, litter box, water and food, however in this cold winter, she spends most of her time in a carboard box with a fluffy bed inside and an old T shirt covering the outside LOL
Typical kitty!

That is so "typical kitty" - preferring the cardboard box to the lush furniture. They're so funny!
I can't see the pictures below because I don't have Facebook. Can you post them another way?
It's good that she accepts the Metacam so readily. It would be awful if you had to fight to get her meds into her every day.
Hopefully both our girls will keep going for another good long time!
