"Roberts, your ship is here too. Had some people who owed me favors for the last few jobs I did before going off the radar." Bruno walked down the steps to the deck and handed the pirate a bottle of Rum.
Roberts took the offered bottle and took a long swig from it. "Bruno, it would seem I owe you, yet again. Perhaps some day, I may get a chance to repay you. I will be glad to get back to my ship. The Duchess probably misses me."
"Call it even, Roberts." Bruno took a big gulp and followed it up with a loud betch.
"Asylum, huh?" Irzen smiled, "I heard about this place. Although I admit I never thought I would see it."
"And what did you hear of this place?" The elementalist asked him.
"It's a place where good and evil dwell in reasonable harmony," Irzen responded, "Or so I've been told. It's a neutral site or a soft place where the lines between good and evil are blurred. I've heard the forces of good and evil do business here but they do not make war here."
"It's also a place where's there's is no laws. People of all kinds police themselves. So, tread lightly." Bruno took the helm and steered his air ship carefully into the dock while his crew jumped off and tied the ship securely.
"Is it a safe place for us?" Serna asked no one in particular, "It would be nice to stay somewhere safe for a change. At least for a little while."
"I don't know, Serna," Willow offered his hand to The Shield Maiden, "But let's find out."
Serna took Willow's offered hand with a smile.
"Aside from hiding from Venger, is there anything else that we are planning to do here?" Neven asked no one in particular.
"Whatever you want, kid," The half-orc gestured towards the harbor and its various ships of the port. "Plenty of guilds here too. Thieves, mages, and various others. There's even a temple of Bahamut here on the highest hill outside of Asylum. Mind you, don't even think of trying to steal stuff from there. This place is neutral except when someone goes and does something stupid."
"Okay!" Neven nodded in agreement, "That's good to know. Thank you, Master Bruno."
Quake looked eager to step on solid ground again. Having Mermidon's gift to stay focused earlier. "Land can't come soon enough."
"Okay. So, people, let's not do anything stupid. I guess that might be easier said than done with this bunch." Roberts opinion might not be voiced by others, but he guessed that it was shared by all.
"Fair enough, so what does everyone want to do while we are here?" Irzen asked no one in particular.
Quake didn't give anyone time to respond as she jumped off the air ship, bolting down the dock to solid ground. In the short distance away the everyone near her and on Bruno's air ship heard. "LAND! I MISSED YOU SO!!"
Alyson, Bruno and his crew broke out into laughter at the sight of the elemental making a scene. "Hahahahahahaha!!"
"There's a tavern for weary travelers down to the left of the dock called the 'Neverending Story.' A neutral place plus food and lodging." The half-orc paused as he looked over the party, and his crew for a moment and realized that everyone needed plenty of rest and relaxation for a bit.
"I'll be along to the tavern in a moment. I just want to check on my ship and pass orders to the crew." Roberts headed along the docks until he came to his ship, the rest of his crew and their supplies in tow. When he got there, he checked in with the ship, sent the customary message to the Duchess of Dunmeade, and then made his way to the tavern. A nice drink never hurt anyone. The potential bar fight that usually ensued, however.......
