With a snap of his fingers, Lazheros, Alyson, and Irzen were now returned to their original status quo. Puck gave them all a sly grin and vanished.
"Yeah! You better run, you little runt!" Irzen snapped at the disappearing fairy, "And tell your boss to get bent too!"
"He's gone, Irzen." Alyson said walking over to her uncle, "Umm...so what brings you here, Uncle Madeous?"
"A need to travel for a change with family and friends. As for what I just witnessed, this never happened." Madeous gave his niece a wink.
The Bronze Man looked at the reflective part of his shield to see that he was his adult self again. Satisfied he turned to Serna, "Be careful on how you say your words around the Chronicler from now on. I do not wish to experience this again, nor do I want to leave with Alyson and depart for a long while."
Serna replied earnestly, "It's not my fault Puck zapped all of you and turned you into kids. War Scribe was the one who ticked him off. Where has she gotten to anyway?"
"Elsewhere, young one." Madeous walked over to Serna, "For now, the Chronicler is doing her job recording for Valinor. When the time comes, I am sure she will make her presence known."
Serna laughed, "Yeah, probably with a blood curdling scream like she always does. Ha! Ha! Ha!"
"Meh. The blood curdling scream you hear from War Scribe is her coming back to life after recently dying, Serna." Alyson told the shield maiden.
"The kingdom beyond the Great Veil was huge and fantastic to see, Lady. Lots of dragon kind there and I learned some new skills as it were but ah, I'll show you them later." Quake dipped her smooth polished head between the Bronze Man and Alyson.
"Where to now?" Lazheros pushed the elemental dragon's head to the side, "Where does the path lead to for you, swordsman?"
"To a doctor!" Irzen snapped as he looked down at his side where the crazed Gnome left its mark while trying to rip out one of his ribs, "That nutty Gnome all but gored me to death. A healing or two would be nice right about now."
The bronze man walked over to Irzen and examined the gash on his side. Rubbing his hands together he placed one on the wound and the other on his holy symbol. Speaking in draconic, a soft white glow drew the torn flesh together mending the skin and his tunic as if nothing had even happened. Withdrawing his hand, he stepped back, "Is it me, or are you a magnet for enemies to target, Swordsman? Your wound is healed and your welcome."
"Thank you!" The Swordsman replied with both gratitude and pride in his voice, "And the only reason why I am a magnet for enemies to target is because I'm the most dangerous person here."
"So which way should we go?" Quake hummed and hawed to no one in particular.
"I was thinking we should go and check on Baroness Meleranti," Irzen replied honestly, "It's been awhile and I would like to check up on her. Unless someone has a better idea."
"Okay. Ah, let's go around Storm Haven instead of through it because I don't want to be spotted or seen by the people there in case one of Venger's lackeys is lurking about." The elementalist told him.
"You mean you don't want to go through Storm Haven because you are afraid that they might try and make you their leader again." Irzen corrected Alyson with a knowing grin, "You know, you're pretty unique, Alyson. I've never met someone who is so quick to run from power."
"What about flying over the city, high enough to avoid--," The platinum knight started to say until Quake cut him off.
"NOPE! NOPE! NOPE! You won't get me off the ground again!" The fire-stone dragon reared up suddenly.
"Why not go underground?" Caliaphy suggested.
"Into the Underdark?" The Swordsman raised an eyebrow before he shook his head, "That is a bad idea for more reasons than I can count. We're better off going a league or two around Storm Haven than traversing the Underdark to get to Deeping Dale."
