Darnold was going to be the real deal we could have used that first round pick at a different position. Saw a clip this morning from a talk show host (the Herd?) that said the Vikings have to keep Darnold, even if it's the franchise tag. That would cost 40 million. Darnold is a lucky man landing with KOC, the QB whisperer, and now he gets to pocket millions. Certainly he had the talent but needed someone to show him the way. Wouldn't it me nice if Darnold told Minny that you got me here so I'm going to give you the hometown discount. It's nice to dream. It'll be an interesting offseason with Darnold and the fact that the Vikings have 70+ million under the cap.
