Nobody on the vikings is going to drive a bus over the corpse of McMuffin. It's not how it's done in most places... Not until jobs are on the line.

There's a few things you can't train up in a QB.
Can't make them grow taller. Can't teach "read a defense" to a brain dead lumox, and you can't teach accuracy.

You can't turn crispy tendons into rubber stretchy ones. You can't tell a person to mature or be on time or expand the repretoire of throws. A person changes only when they want to and understand the need.

We'll see when they are actually playing contact sport instead of practice/ walk through/ 7x7. That stuff ain't football.

Like I said. McCarthy isn't a QB anyone wants to trade for. And cutting him is a cap problem. So....
