All of my ancestors were labourers or did "low" skilled jobs - even Dad, he drove trucks most of his life, or worked in Quarries.

That is probably why academically I was never outstanding - but still managed to make the grade, and why I am a jack of all trades and master of none.

My Daughter is one of the few on "my" side of the Family to get a degree, the only other one I know of is a cousin who gained a degree back in the 80's - we dont keep in touch.
