The "imput shaft" is toast - there is a wear ridge on it and the bearing is a loose fit on the shaft.
The clutch "sleeve" bearing is worn, and there are 3 gears that run on bronze bushes that wobble around on the shaft.
I think that it has been run with no oil in at some time in its life.
Undecided about how I am going to refurb it, clearly needs a new input shaft, for the gears that are wobbling around on the shaft, I suppose I could get some new bushes made (Kawasaki dont spare these items) and reamed to fit the shaft.
Not a job I can do.
Also need to replace the ball bearings (3 off) and needle bearings (2 off) if the latter are available, ball bearings are just standard items.
Best bet might be to see if I can source a complete replacement set of shafts and gears, there are some on E - Bay at various prices, but then it is a gamble that it would be better than what I have.
After this is all done and sorted I'll probably be reluctant to sell it after spending all this time effort and money
Think I will sit on it for a while before deciding.
Who needs a signature anyway......
