I am "pleased" - not really the right word to see that it is not just me that has an issues with these lights.

TBH I don't see anything changing, just another example of the relentless march of technology.

Many of the stupidly bright pushbike LED lamps are just as bad - those that rapidly flash / the ones that people stick on their helmets that get pointed all over the place (thought lights were supposed to be fitted to the vehicle), no issue with people on bikes wanting to be seen, but those badly placed / stupidly bright lamps don't do anyone any favours.

I see that Govt petition was started about this but was halted due to the election - perhaps time to start another one FWIW.
