I had a parcel from Amazon with number 2o house number but i am number 2 .Left outside as usual so i delivered it. I did order something from ebay but amazon delivered that and left outdoors.
The rules are the supplier must make sure you get it and if their courier leaves it in a stupid place, the courier pays the supplier and the supplier refunds or sends another item. One delivery driver thought it was a good idea to place a parcel in my recycling bin and it got collected. The photo they showed of the item in the bin was very funny when i claimed.
I have emailed a few suppliers telling them my parcel is in reach of everyone walking along the pavement and on a busy school route. Not had any stolen though but if i do, there will be 2 different videos showing who it is.
I pity these drivers under so much pressure. There were a few OAPs delivering until the police asked for their multi-drop delivery car insurance. My Nephew got caught on that and lucky the police just told him off. His insurance for multi drop local deliveries was 1700 pounds for a car so he got it added to the business insurance for the family business vehicles at a much lower cost for fleet cover. One local woman working for EVRI was doing well and financed a brand new hatchback from her delivery wages but she also got caught and gave up deliveries
