Another factor you didn't mention was that Stellantis delivered a near 2 year backlog of base vehicles to the manufacturers in the early Summer. These were then converted & pushed out to the dealers before the end of the model year. Exactly so, Nigel. There are numerous posts on my motorhome forum from disgruntled folk receiving a 'new' one only to find that the base vehicle spec'n has changed since they ordered it 18 months it two years previously, even down to the transmission and chassis rating.

I was tentatively thinking about giving up the MH after 14 years to do something different but, given the market conditions, have decided to keep it for at least another year - booked the ferry for another tour next year yesterday. I'm in exactly the same quandary 30 years after starting motorhoming. I tour only abroad as I live just 20 miles from the Newhaven ferry and now being over 60 I qualify for 20% discount on the entire ticket which includes any passenger younger than 60.
