if the cistern capacity is reduced & it takes 2 flushes to clear the crap...
These houses were built in 1948 with a "well" in the back garden supplied by the gutters on the main roof & feeding a hand pump in the kitchen.
The pumps are all gone but the well is still there.
Front gutters just run into a soakaway uner the front garden.
