Try before you buy! My recollection of maggots is that they are surprisingly heavy and especially top heavy with a full tank of fuel.

Their appeal is their reliability once Honda sorted out the initial design flaws (and since then & if I recall correctly as long as certain awkward seals don't fail). They were the dispatch riders choice with good reason.

But definitely a Marmite bike. Personally I loathe them.

If you want a reliable lightweight shaft drive v-twin get a "small block" Guzzi.
