I do miss the Stelvio. But, in reality, it was giant sized and much bigger and more powerful than I need. When I look at them, as I still do, I see quite a few with ethanol bubbles on the tank. Then there was the oil warning light that stayed on for 30 miles for no reason at all...

The V Strom has a metal tank and seems to be completely reliable - it's 73bhp but has loads of go with a one tooth smaller gearbox sprocket. Lighter, narrower and super-economical too. I can't find any reason to sell it which is completely unlike me. First anniversary of ownership on Wednesday. It's been a long time since a bike has lasted a while year. Perhaps I should advertise it...!!
