Well, I've reached a point in my life where I just don't have time to work on cars and do everything else I need to do. I'd much rather stick a key in a car and go! So, I'm contemplating eliminating my stable and buying one car that is completely finished. I'm thinking about a 1968 Firebird 400 convertible OR a 69 Impala SS convertible. Firebird 400's are relatively easy to find and easy to document with PHS. The 69 Impala SS convertible, not so much!
It's easy to establish the going market value for the Firebird and as previously stated, they are out there to be had. The big questions are: Are there real 69 SS Impala convertibles out there and what would a numbers matching 69 SS convertible be worth that is in #2 condition? I don't want a trailer queen because I intend on driving the car I buy. I've looked at the price guides but I want to know what you guys think.
At this point, I'm in thinking mode and haven't really made my mind up yet on which car to pursue IF I decide to eliminate the stable and go the one-car-that's finished route. Your information can help me make my decision and is much appreciated!
