Neither one of your options are going to be a "stick the key in and go". Old cars with carburetors and distributors will always need tinkering and they get lousy gas mileage. Why worry about originality & documentation if you want to drive it? If you are stuck on old car styling, find one that has a late model LS conversion, modern suspension upgrades, A/C and enjoy it.
