This is a project that started back in 2016 of collecting parts, building an engine, and some outside head work (Thanks Keith! (2019)
Many parts from Keith, a 010 M20 from Donny, 12 bolt from donor car 3.08 at this time, all factory F41 (except shocks) and many options added through the years, started as a 283 pg w/ac p/s p/b.
One of the pics in the middle with the 283 flags and fender "Impala SS" emblems was February 1st 2020, the other outside pics were taken July 17th, having "most" of my ducks in a row ahead allowed me to get this far, all I have left I believe is charge a/c and detail cleaning stuff, I even rebuilt the steering gear and it needed a new p/s pump. ALL trim on the front is nos I collected through the years, original bumpers, and powder coated most of the front end "black parts" (cause I'm driving it, not just looking at it)
I know it's not perfect, but it looks great to me!
I have added, tach dash, this time w/5500 w/speed warning, all new harnesses, p/windows, 67 fm w/multiplex, and tape (dealer installed version) with the a/b switch (that works) defogger, vacuum trunk release, 4 way power drivers seat, nos dash pad, 4 speed, front and rear sway bars with correct panhard bar, 5 red walls, nos factory cruise control, tilt wheel and an a/m wood wheel, SS427 hood and insert and had it restored, correct air cleaner, Harrison HD 4 core radiator. every light available but spot lights, (have hand held GM one) don't like the look of bumper guards, still deciding on door edge guards.
I had put 69-70 front brakes on years ago but went through them, since it was an original 283 pg car, fuel lines were replaced and all brake lines, every bolt/ bushing joints, etc. were replaced some were nos, but the rest were made in the USA. This was just from the cowl forward.
Threw the dyno pic in, and that's is on pump gas. It's gotten to be a HOT summer here in the Phoenix area, so I put the car away at a friends out side of the building of that engine and Ed Hartnett going through the Muncie, I have done 98% of the work my self in my 2 hole garage, It's like playing chess .....
This is my first Big Block car unless you call a 348 a BB, that's a debate not worth the time.
Can't wait for winter, it's our summer here in Phoenix.
Still want and will probably never find are nos or nice used dash trim w/a/c and 8 track trim/ face plate, so if some of you 67 guys have something squirreled away I'm willing to listen.
Hope you like the pics, and what would one call this? an SS427c ? RPO Z23.5 lol have a sense of humor and humor me
This site needs more action, and some or one maybe is always negative. I can see why one would not want to post here.
