I remember Apache most fondly from the First Annual (and only) Artists Studio Tour. Joe Santana, Dos Metros (Brian), and Pedro (From Pedro's) started out at Joe's house drinking tequila, then moved on to Sylvain Voyer's studio, picked Sylvain up and more tequila, then came up to my studio, picked me up and more tequila, then on to Apache's, picked Apache up and more tequila, then on the Pedro's father's farm north of here, where we drank the best tequila ever, papa stayed home, then all of us, now in Apache's pickup front and back, moved on to a sushi bar south of Puerto Vallarta where Dos Metros put on quite a show when he couldn't get out of the ocean by himself, and then Apache, quite tipsy himself by then, drove us all safely home.
