You see that dotted red line going around the area of the storm? That is called the cone of confidence or the cone of certainty. If center of the hurricane goes anywhere within that dotted red line it is considered and accurate prediction.
Very generous of them, yes? Good for the statistics.

Not to poo poo the whole progress of weather prediction, they are improving daily and have a few new TROPICS satellite just for a more accurate hurricane prediction.
But the cone of confidence gives you an idea of where they are now.
