After several years of staying at Posada de Roger--I was finding them fully booked more often than not, and had to broaden my search. Two hotels that I have enjoyed within walking distance of "Roger" (and hesitate to "spread the word" about).


1. Hotel Porto Allegro - Hidalgo 119.

2. Garlands del Rio - Aquiles Serdan 367.

"Garlands" is a boutique (approx 10 units) hotel converted from a mansion with patio and indoor pool on the Rio Cuale.

Porto Allegro is a clean non-discript approx 28 unit hotel with elevator.

Both hotels -- breakfast is included.
