With that many teams and different locations, you have to know that the umpires were very tired also. Not an excuse but you have 1 or 2 umpires trying to control 20-30 players. They are always looking for new umpires. Not as easy as it seems. Clinics are always at the beginning of the year. Remember , if as players, we controlled ourselves and acted right, you would not put umpires in bad positions. Just a thought ....
