I specifically remember watching a game between Worth It and Knockers on Ebbets at 11pm Saturday. Guy hit a ball into RC gap scoring the runner from 3rd tried to make a triple out if and was safe by getting his hand in on the bag before being tagged on the face... Santa who actually moved (surprisingly) was right on top of it within 5 to 10 feet.. makes call yells safe!! Well of course knockers was mad at the call cause they thought they got him, and ask Santa for help, who mind you, "is right on top of the play" grants an appeal to Chester who was in between 1st and 2nd at the edge of turf and grass (roughly 100 to 125 ft away). Chester tells Santa he had a better view and that he seen the tag, well Santa believed Chester that he had better view and had no balls and gave up his call that he was right on top of. This changed the whole game.. should of been tie ball game runner on 3rd 1 out with about 15 minutes left Worth It home team. So now umps are even determining outcomes, and scared of the partner to tell them no i was right on top of it yes there was a tag but what you couldn't see since you weren't right on top of was his hand got in before the tag!
