Re: Uranium Capitol Speedway Results- may 24th
Hey Bob, sorry you were not able to make it to grants earlier than you did. Had you been there earlier, you might have noticed that It rained at the track for hours on end. There was only one small load that was dropped on the track earlier and only on the top. The track prep team actually did an amazing job preparing the track, packing it and keeping it smooth all night. No ruts, no holes, and the excess water was from the rain over a 48 hr period. Kudos to the board of directors for not calling the races and to the drivers for voting to pack the track again to make it the most racey track we have seen in a long while. I know you carry a lot of clout and I typically welcome differing opinions, but after talking to drivers in the pits and people in grants all day, the consensus was that the track was amazing, no fault to them for a wet track since a dome was not possible. Like any track, mistakes can easily be made when it come to surface preparation, however, I must respectfully disagree with your comments on a fouled up race track. If anyone doesn't believe me, I challenge you to come back out this coming weekend and see why everyone keeps coming back. No torn up cars, no wrecks, friendly staff, and lots of great side by side racing. This makes four consecutive weeks of racing getting out before ten thirty as well. That being said, thanks for coming out and supporting local dirt tracks, especially this past weekend at UCS. Hope you get to come back out soon.
