You're correct. The difficulty or ease of weight loss is 100% mental. Most people see it as a physical challenge to control their cravings and hunger, but our thoughts guide how we react to stimuli in every aspect of life and food is a biggie. My emotional reaction to food is a world apart from what it used to be. I used to be ALL emotions with food! Doing Cambridge for me was like grieving the death of my best friend...no joke. Now it is barely a blip. It took time and reconditioning, but food doesn't excite me anymore. I can enjoy it, but it no longer calls to me. I have total respect for anyone that loses weight, or quits smoking, or any other addiction or habit. Denying ourselves that which gives us comfort or distraction or sedation is HARD...but the longer we do it, the easier it gets until it is the new normal.
