I've learned the many ways people use this board. It's changed over the years. People don't rely on message boards like they once did. Other social medias have pushed them to the back of the pack. But when I see that there are people checking in but not posting, that doesn't bother me at all. Of course, I would love to have it active, but I understand that we all go through cycles when it comes to weight loss and the truck load of emotions that are connected with it. As long as it is serving a purpose and a source of support and encouragement in whatever way it can, I will keep it up and running. The cost now is not bad and it's a write off for me.
My goal has always been simple. I just want others to experience the joy I did when I lost my weight. It was the door opening to the life I now have. It was hard and complicated and a test of endurance, but it was also exciting and empowering and freeing. I wish I had the magic answer to give to each of my clients to make this nothing more then a simple process from A to B, but we each are challenged to find our own way through this labyrinth. Hopefully this board acts like a porch light for people to find their way when they are ready to start, or begin again.
The nearest I can figure out, there are about 10 or so friends that check in here on the board at least once a week. I don't see names or anything identifying other then city and state and that is on my website analytics that shows ALL my website traffic. I can see the pages they view and I'm always happy to see a Support Board visitor!
Thanks again for expressing your feelings. I do appreciate it.
