Don't be fooled by the scale. Sometimes the scale is wrong. I have gained weight after 3 days of SS just because my body was holding on to fluid. In your case it might be water weight. I understand your frustration and your sense of urgency because you need to experience results NOW to have the surgery. In a British Documentary on YouTube:Two individuals who were journalists were willing to participate in the documentary researching quick weight loss diets. Both were under the care of a physician the whole time they were on their respective diets. One gal used the Master Cleanse with lemons, cayenne red pepper, and maple syrup, and Colon cleanses. The other gal using first kale soup, and then shakes & she saw her physician regularly, who noted no weight loss in weeks 2 and 3 and stated that the body was holding on to weight because it was sensing starvation in a natural defensive reaction. This weight came off in the next couple of weeks. She exercised very intensely daily. She went from a size 10 to a size 0. I can't give you any real reassurances but sometimes drinking more water helps. Also maybe increase low impact exercise that won't hurt your hip, maybe by doing upper body arm exercises using small weights. Hopefully Pam will advise you. Good Luck
